Thank god Mac didn't have his operation today as I managed to get some astro photography done.   




Canon 7D, Canon 100 to 400 lens set to 190mm, ISO 800 F7.1, 1/4sec

I love the composition!

Why did you select ISO800 and F7.1? A faster F-ratio or slower ISO would have given a less noisy image.

It's artistic, like adding artificial film grain texture to an otherwise digital photo. Nice.

That's a very nice image. There's a fair amount of lunar detail in the full size shot.
