LX90 8" UHTC with Moonfish 2x ED 2" barlow, 2" Baader Neodymium filter and SPC880/900 unmodded webcam. The filter makes a real difference to the contrast between the light and dark features.
Guided by QHY5 on Finderscope with PHD.
Captured with SharpCap.

This is the full size image 500/1000 frames, no processing except AviStack's automatic stuff and bit of tweaking the wavelets in AviStack.

This one was captured two minutes earlier...

That's looking good Duncan, your best Jupiter yet.

Thanks Carol.

:idea:Maybe we should have a Jupiter imaging competition Saturday night!

Nice one, that filter really makes a difference

That's a very nice result Duncan - especially since the conditions were not that brilliant.

Try AivStack on your captures, I'm sure it will do a better job. Just use the defaults. It takes a while to process as it's very thorough. The wavelets seem to work better as well.

Very nice, Duncan. Hoping to give Jupiter a try myself tonight, hope the weather holds

That's a great result, even more so considering your location.  the Baader ND is supposed to be a great help on planets.  I'll wait till Jupiter's a bit higher before having a go with mine.
