Very nice Jim.  Glad you've managed to sort your mount out for guiding.

Wow! Jim that is pro looking - a great image & very nicely processed as well - Congrats you must be chuffed with that. John

Thanks, yes I am. What a difference a few clear nights make. I'll try and add some color data later.

Great resolution, some real fine detail coming out there. Nice to get a clear sky at last :-)

Well done Jim!

The stars are round, the detail is sharp and you've processed it very well.  Lots of faint detail is coming out.

You should be very pleased with that.

Looks very good Jim though I think the core of M81 is a little burnt out.

Another nice one and good detail Jim

Thanks all, very pleased with it and to have finally got everything working. However 1 step forward 2 back... I setup in the dark last night and connected the mount with the wrong polarity. Duh pass another donut!  What an idiot;  looks like I've damaged the new electronics I fitted. Hopefully the motors are ok and just replacing the board will work. Sigh!!

mickw

I'd take a close look at the board, there may be some reverse polarity protection on it - a button or fuse (wishful thinking I know)
Have you tried it since ?

Oh dear, I hope it's not another Fay moment !!!

I would certainly hope the mount is fused, fingers crossed.
