Hi All, I managed to get out on christmas day and image the bubble nebula, unfortunately, I got worried it was going to rain and packed up very quickly without taking flats, this made getting rid of gradients in the image very hard.

Anyway, after much tinkering, I have something that looks ok, again, it's not a great target for the focal length of the hyperstar, but it came out ok, and I also managed to squeeze NGC 7538 in there aswell. (with M52 peeking in at the corner)

Anyway, not much to say details wise with this one, since I only used Light frames, but this is 45x180s ISO 160

(Edit: Tried first image linked rather than included because it took so long to download, but guess it was just Flikr being sluggish, as it isn't any bigger than t'other -- Rick)

I like the widefield better.

Daniel

Me too, the hyperstar's just not cut out for closeup images!

very nice,
so far in deepest Hampshire, I've had zero clear nights,
mind you, I've not got my scope so im not that worried.;

Daniel, do you used the clip in EOS CLS/IR filter?
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Daniel

Hi Fay, I do have a clip in CLS filter, but tend to just use that for widefield. This was using a 2" CLS screwed directly into the hyperstar.
