The Wall part of NGC7000 in Cygnus

I have contacted Pulsar Optical & they say they do a pier extension. I said I would like it to be 4-6" higher to avoid shelf collision.
Waiting to see what they suggest.

I was just waiting for you and Mick to finish discussing the shelf on the pier to say what a great image you produced, even if the shelf gets in the way.

I wish I had a shelf like that, so I could get some good images.

I was thinking.....if I get a 5" pier extension, i would have to have a mount bolt 5" higher, also a bolt that long may not fit into the owls nest for insertion into the mount.

I would have thought the pier extension fitted between the owls lest and the pier, so the mount bolt should still be OK.

Or have I got it all wrong again
