Gave this DSO ago last weekend. I shot the image over two nights. First night was 2hrs of L (CLS filter only) in 5min subs & then 2nd night I took 30mins each RGB in 5min subs. This is quite a dim object & I have struggled to process. I am still not happy with the RGB & think I need loads more. I would love to try this from a dark location. Usual setup - ED80 + Atik 16ic on EQ6Pro guided with K3 modified TouCam & ZS66. Anyway I'm done with it so here it is....:

As usual comments welcome -Thks,  John

Well John, that is nice, is it in Cepheus? Stars look round, 2 hours is quite a long time. Not Ha filter?  Interesting nebula

I have not done this, may be good with Orion, when I sort everything out!

Hi Fay,

Yes - Thks for comments - NGC7023 - Cepheus.

It's a reflection Nebula so no Ha filter...

Should look great through the 8inch

I love the Iris. Nice object, but yes tough to get. You have done a really good job there John.

John,  That's really good; without a dark sky it's so difficult to get all the dust to show up.  I think the Iris is one of the wonders of the night sky.

John this is 7L @ 5 minutes with the 6" newtonian, I'll add the other 12L to it what I can be bothered....
