Iris under a full moon

The Iris Nebula in LRGB

Composed of :

35 x 5minute Luminance
5 x 5 minute R + G + B (misaligned with luminance)

I always wanted to do this but the attempt was rather hampered by a full moon so all the frames, especially the luminance, were washed out with noise.  I managed to process all but about 10 subs and the result though far from ideal didn't turn out too bad considering.  This has been by far the most difficult image I have ever processed and I'm not sure I've got there yet either.

Robert that is superb. The Iris is one of my favourite nebula and that is one of the best pics of it I have seen. Sure it is noisy but the details is excellent.

It's a lovely image of a fantastic object.  But it does look a bit on the grey side.

It's quite a feat to capture it during a full moon - you must be mad!
