I like the smoothness of Chris' but I think too much of the subtlety has been lost, as well as some detail in the flame, so I vote for Mike's 2nd one. It's a shame the stars trailed, but it's such a tiny effect it doesn't really detract from the image at all.

Are you going to colour it Mike?

I think that as it did trail it would be worth starting again. I do want to do it again in colour, probably using Ha, Hb and O3 filters. I'd like to try and get at least 3 hours per filter if possible. I'll have another go over the next few weeks weather permitting.
