Making buttons work

I cannot seem to make the above buttons work i.e. the toolbar above the message.  i.e. bold, underline or insetr an image.  All I get is the following
for bold
for underline
for insert an image.

etc etc

The buttons wrap something called BBCode round the selected text. It uses tag-codes within square brackets. When you put text between these tags it turns bold or italic or gets underlined or whatever ...

Click on the "Peview" button to see what effect the tags you've entered have had.

The smilies add slightly different codes... 

(I'll move this to UPDATES AND UPSETS at some point.)

Do you mean the posted message comes out in BOLD or whatever, as it certainly doesn;t do that in the original text.  Also can;t find out how to add an attachment.

Yup, it worked.  So how do you add an attachment?

The forum has attachments disabled. However, you can add images to forum posts. See this topic for instructions.
