I probably should have used my Ha filter for this rather than the Neodyum filter, anyway 6x5min subs binned 2x2, this is a very dim target.  I'll work on the processing later a bit more.



I have no applied a gradient correction and fat star correction to the image as well

...& inverted it... had me confused for a bit    Is fat star correction ethical? some of them look too perfect & round...

Great image anyway - you should try with more aperture & Ha especially if you can do 5-10min subs - It's probably still around in May - I bet you could get great results on this from Headcorn..

Depends what you want to do with the image, if you de-fat a star then you can't use the image for photometry, but it makes it look better. take care that artifacts are not introduced by your processing, the worst introducer of artifacts I have found is Photoshop minimise.
Nice image John, what is the nebula on the centre left of the image?
