Attached Saturn from Bromley last night. Image captured with MN56 + X3 barlow & ToUcam - approx 900 frames. The MN56 is a great 'little' 5-inch MNewt but lacks focal length for planetary stuff (only F6) - this is about the best I can do (although, collimation was a bit off - didn't find that out till I'd finished). I never seem to be able to get Cassini all the way around like Chris or Tony's last effort. Must be something to do with pixel size/ focal length. I guess I need to be in the f30's or higher for decent planetary which would mean a X5 barlow - focussing etc. at that mag would be a nighmare. Image has been upsized X2 so you can imagine how small raw is.

Anyway here it is......

I also did a bit of deep sky stuff but wasn't all that happy so I'll give it another try.. I've decided I need to do much longer total exposure - 1 hr plus....

Cheers,  John
