M31 - Andromeda Galaxy - DSC

Hi All,

Wow! - What a brilliant few days we had at DSC this year - unbelievable skies... Anyway I have processed the first of many images I took. This is M31 taken using an EOS 300D digital camera at prime focus on my 6-inch Newt on LXD75 mount. The image represents the sum of 10 X 60 sec exposures at ISO800. The first image is the full FOV which also shows M110 (bottom) & M32 (top) & the second is a crop of just M31 (still not full size). I was amazed at the detail the digital camera captured.
