Took this on 13/7/19 . Taken with my Nikon P900 camera. On enlargment a couple of Jupiters moons are visible. Howza `bout that? I was amazed ....  Doug. (rank amateur)

Always look on the bright side of life ...

Good shooting Doug! I see three moons, Calisto, Ganymede, Europa from right to left (I looked it up for 10pm on that date). Io was very close to Jupiter or you would probably have caught it as well

Doug and Duncan, can you see the Moons just as posted, because I can't see them unless I stretch the image in Photoshop.

I am wondering whether my screen is darker than yours if so.

Well done Doug.
If you do this sort of thing again, try to additionally take a shorter shot of the Moon if you can, or a lower ISO, and so one of us can combine the image for you showing the Moon with craters and Jupiter in the same shot.

PS: Just checked my monitor brightness and it is on 100%.

I copied the picture into Irfanview then re-sampled to twice the size and zoomed in. No other adjustments. Does look dark in the browser.

Well done Doug
I think I can see banding too.
