Hello All

The first few hours of the Bank Holiday were looking up with a very sunny morning and above average seeing.  I managed to image the Sun in White Light, Calcium and Hydrogen Alpha using the 94mm f/7 refractor working at between 2000 and 3000mm EFL.

First, full discs in the three wavelengths.  6 panels of 225 frames each (out of 3000 shots) with exposures ranging from 0.46ms for CaK to 2.5ms for Ha.

And a 1hr animation (1500 frames every 30 seconds from 10:26 to 11:12UT) of a looping prominence on the limb near AR12995/94.

Brilliant set of images. The animation is great. You are making me want to get into solar imaging. 😀

Thank you both!  Observing the Sun (imaging is great but visual is better) since it's so dynamic; particularly in Ha where movement is almost visually real time.

Great as usual Roberto - but that animation is something else!

Just stunning

Already liked them all in Astrobin.
As said above, the animation is anazing.

Thank you Carole, Hugh. I was lucky seeing remained consistent for that long (as well as temperature so focus didn't shift). I wish I had chosen a bigger field of view and stayed for longer but had to run for an appointment...
