Title: Astrofest
Post by: Carole on Jan 10, 2019, 10:52:57
Any-one going to Astrofest 8 & 9 February 2019?

But they STILL haven't announced the speakers - leaving it a bit late if they want people to book for them.

Sue and I are getting a bit frustrated as we like to go on the Friday (which is just 4 weeks away) as Saturday is busier and we're reluctant to buy tickets not knowing who the speakers will be.

I've just looked and Astrofest has now published the name of 9 of the 16 speakers, but there are still no titles.

Yes, sorry, I hadn't actually looked when I said that,  I just saw a post n another forum to say the Speakers were published.  Never occurred to me that would not say which days they were doing.

So who is going when?

I am thinking of going Saturday as there are a few people I'd like to meet up with who are going that day.

I have been on both days on a previous occasion.  I tend to mainly go for the social side and to meet people I chat with on forums and at places like Kelling Heath.

Hopefully I won't be buying any kit.   :cheesy:

Think I will probably only go on one day and probably the Saturday.

I won't be going.  I don't want to be tempted to spend any money.

The only thing I might possibly buy in the near future is an additional imaging camera with a 36x24mm sensor and no, definitely not a cooled astrocam.
