Title: Astrometry.net indices for AstroTortilla
Post by: The Thing on Nov 13, 2012, 17:02:25
Has anybody got the Astrometry.net indices for AstroTortilla? The Astrometry sites' link seems to be down (and their forums been hijacked by porn and cialis whatever that may be...).

I want to try it out as it apparently does polar alignment help by solving E/W or S images and telling what corrections to make. As well as other good things. And it works with APT.

TIA

In case you didn't find it -

It's great. Used in conjunction with APT (or some alternatives) you can get it to check where the aspire is pinned, create a sync point for the scope and then slew to the target you really wanted as chosen in CdC Skycharts. Quick and easy. Also it can tell you how far of your polar alignment is off. No more being lost in space unable to find the target!

Aspire ?

Wossat then ?

Can't get on with CdC, prefer Starry Night - much prettier
