Title: Audio adverts on computer

I have started to get talking adverts on my computer when I am on there, has anyone else noticed this? is there a cure?

I thought, who is that talking, could not make out where it was  coming from. the woman was talking about Neurofen, then another advert followed!!!! i think they are taking liberties!!!!

Simples, you need to update your hosts file so that all the advert servers are blocked.

Download this file. just right click the link and save as.

http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt (http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt)

and then copy it to the following directory.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

you should see a file in there already and its probably only 1k.

Restart you browser and it should all be sorted, if not i'll post mine, that i've built over the years, and is pretty good at nearly all adverts just under 1Meg..

Needs updating though, although i use google chrome and custom css sheets, and just block the panels with adverts.
