Title: Venus
Post by: Carole on May 14, 2012, 14:50:52
As I haven't yet imaged Venus I decided to have a "go" last night.  Just managed to catch it before it dropped down behind a tree.

Venus 735 frames out of 1809
Sharpcap SPC900 and ED120 (no barlow)

Just need Mercury and Neptune to complete my solar system mosaic (not to scale obviously).

Nice pic of the Moon, a bit small though ;)

Good capture.

mercury's going to be the big challenge,
you going to have to bag that one at dusk or dawn.

Might be worth just checking out the next deep sky camps and see where Mercury is and if its faverable.

Love the Mosaic.

Just out of interest, how big would it be if you were to scale it?
I know i can do the maths but im ill.

Nah. Just changed the reference from IMG to URL, and left a scratch-mark on your post. ;)

Whoops, sorry, on my website it actually does say that of course I didn't do the one of Earth  :cheesy: :cheesy:
at least I did all the others.

Quotemercury's going to be the big challenge,
Yes, and I think Neptune too as I don't have a powerful enough scope.

I like that crescent Venus and I love your idea of doing the complete solar system!

Thanks Mark

I wonder whether it will ever get completed though?

Nice idea Carole, hopefully you can update each image as your technique improves.

Yes, I am doing that Robert.  I already replaced the Saturn with a more recent one.
