Title: finderscope
Post by: Les R on Mar 08, 2012, 19:57:34
The Nexstar 6SE I bought last weekend came without a finderscope. Looking online (and wanting to buy secondhand again if I can), Ive found  this one (http://www.365astronomy.com/skywatcher-6x30-skywatcher-finderscope-complete-with-bracket-p-2447.html?zenid=3477c83c156971361c865899660ebd0f) at reasonable price, but I'm fairly sure I also need a dovetail thats fixed to the telescope first.

Any tips, places to buy or just general advice on this gratefuly received. (The guy I bought it from sid this dovetail and finderscope was only going to cost £18!)

Angled viewfinder is a bonus - less contortions to see through it  ;)

I love my Telrad finder, you would need to get a dew shield with mirror to give you the same ease of use as a right angle finderscope.
