I am backing up the laptop & cable fell out, so started again. Does anyone know if it will start where it left off or will it start all over again from the beginning?

If your doing an actual backup then no.

OMG Fay your doomed.... Never but Never pull a cable out when doing a back-up - Every PC/Laptop owner knows that - It's the first thing they say in the manual....
