the whole point is it's multimedia. It's good to actually see how things move as you make adjustments.

Yes, it's a good effort. I'll concede the point about using animations to illustrate particular points. By all means have spoken commentary with the animated bits, but also provide subtitles for those who can't hear for one reason or another.

For me, the main problem with the whole explanation being multimedia is that you have to sit down and listen to it, which takes as long as it takes, and assumes you've got a computer capable of playing speech in an understandable way. (The standard PCs and laptops at work do not have sound cards.) I could read a text explanation more accurately, in less time, in silence, and print it out as a reminder.
