It's just a bit over the top methinks and might add significant weight to the camera.

I haven't used my Peltier modded 350D for ages. Since I started to do fast focal-ratio imaging ( F/2.8 ) using the Bananascope, the dark current is no longer a limiting factor in my imaging.
