Well at leat they are looking into practical ways to keep the Hubble up and running. It is far too valuable an asset to just leave to rot !

Doesn't look all that promising though, and I wouldn't be surprised if they robbed the budget for Hubble's replacement (thus delaying the replacement by who knows how long) to pay for elastoplast for Hubble....

I guess I'm just a mite cynical when it comes to NASA (and, more to the point, their masters in Congress) finding funding for worthwhile projects....
