Title: Can't put my GIF animation on the gallery
Post by: MarkS on Sep 04, 2010, 19:13:35
Just after 4pm I tried to post my Jupiter animation GIF (1.7 Mbyte) on the gallery but I got an error.

Is it too large or the the problem something else?

Mark

[Later edit]  Aha - I think the GIF is not an acceptable movie format?

Yes it is or was although size might be an issue

The process which produces the thumbnail sometimes crashes when presented with a large animated gif. There are ways round the issue, but they may require direct poking of the database. Drop me a PM with relevant information, and I'll have a go...

Thanks Rick - I'll do so when I've completed v2.
