Title: EOS1000D
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Aug 18, 2010, 10:02:48
Hi,

I have a new shiny 1000d to take to Olly's and I'm going to to some wide field imaging when I'm there.

I'm very impressed with the software it comes with because you can now completely control the camera from your laptop or desktop.  Focus for autofocus lenses (I have a nice APO), Exposure and Sequence can all be programmed in and you just leave it and bingo off it goes.  Nice.

So maybe I'll get some wide field images in soon :-)

I'm looking forward to the results!

What lens (f/l & aperture) will you be using?

I will either use the Sigma 70-300 APO of the 6x7 lens, I'm not going to risk the QSI with the 6x7 until I have had some UK time with it.

But if it is clear tonight I might try the EOS100D and 6x7, also I bought that 8"F4 scope and I still haven't used it yet!

Hi,

No, no modding this one, I have the QSI for normal astro photography, just going to do some wide field.
