Title: Beginnings of a Moon Mosaic
Post by: Carole on Aug 04, 2010, 01:28:33
I have stitched 6 images together to form a Mosaic which I will add to at a later date.  I have also got a 7th image of plato which I took at the start of the session, but by the time I had done several images the terminator had moved a fair bit so there was no way of joining this on satisfactorily.

About 1 minute AVI for each of the 6 images.
Webcam & K3CCDtools, stacked in registax, CG5 GT mount using an ETX125 telescope.

I stitched them together manually in photoshop as I've not yet tried using any other software for this.

Hmmmm, I can already see a bit I've missed, but as this is unfinished, I can do that another time.

I have just replaced the two images above which were far too pink.

I have not used my webcam for a long time and completely forgot that I had removed the IR filter to use on my SC3 camera.

So both images done without an IR filter.  I assume this is why the originals were far too red.
