This Saturday, (May 8th) members of the OAS will be presenting a public event to observe the planets Venus, Saturn and Mars as they rise into the evening sky. The event will start at 8pm with a short talk, and then, weather permitting, we will have an outdoor observing session. Please rmember to wear warm clothes and shoes and bring a digital camera if you wish to take pictures through the telescope.
Members assisting with this, please see the discussion in Behind the Scenes (http://forum.orpington-astronomy.org.uk/index.php?topic=6055.0).
May pop around tonight, but have not got any planetary data. Anything else I can bring? eg photo's? as sky may not be too good
