Having focusing problems then have a look at this page.

very interesting in how he does the measuring.
It doesn't matter what camera you are using he just does a screen grab
and analyses that.
takes all the guess work out

Wow, that looks really good.  In fact it saves me a programming job because exactly this functionality was going to be my next astro-project.

I've currently been using Nebulosity in "fine focus" mode but quickly realised that focus could be estimated more accurately directly from the diffraction spikes in a Bhatinov image, if only it could be digitally analysed (since it can't be judged accurately enough by eye).

Not yet, probably wont get a chance untill after the move, but i've got it installed.
Might have a play with images taken with the mask though.
