Title: Flattener for Canon/ SW120
Post by: Fay on Apr 24, 2010, 11:03:43
Does anyone know which would be a suitable field flattener to use with the Canon & SW 120?

Just to try, I put the 0.85 on the Canon/SW120, last night, but it was meant for the ZS66. Ok with the Atik but not Canon.

Thanks

The skywatcher dedicated one for the ED120, thats probably the best bet, I use the ED80 version and its excellent.

Does not fit on the back of the Equinox only Evostar. I saw a suitable one but is around £280!!

I have been reading that an adaptor will be on sale soon, so the dedicated SW 120 for the Evostar will be able to be used with the Equinox as well. I assume that there will be an outside thread on it to screw directly into the flattener.

Yes but they have turned my little ED80 into a nice F6.3 astrograph, ok not a Tak but about £3200 cheaper, so look on the positive side thats a hell of a camera you now have budget for :-)
