Title: A not very good Mars
Post by: Fay on Feb 01, 2010, 10:25:41
Not too good, but Mars was in the middle of a tree for most of the time. Captured with DMK and 6" Mak Cass, no barlow as too much movement

Fay, I don't think the tree has helped the detail but it's still very good.  It's certainly much better than my attempt last year without a tree.

Any chance of some capture details?

I agree with Robert Fay, I think the tree has significantly affected the SNR.

However, my advice would be to add more tree. Lots more. Then go download a Hubble image off the internet.

;)

Why was there too much movement? Wind or mount problems?

Which evening did you take it Fay?  And what time?

I can't see the image from work - it's on a blocked site.
