I am thinking either this is difficult to get or I had dew on my optics. It was a really dewy night, I had dew heaters on but should have checked to see if all was ok.
I cannot seem to do a lot with it, although I think a lot of the haze is nebula.
12x600 Atik 314L/WO ZS66, ha, cls, I think 081209.

Fay,
That's a good attempt at a very difficult object but as you say it doesn't look quite right somehow. Being dewed up a bit would certainly lower contrast, how did you process it ?
Any reason for using a CLS and Ha filter together ?
Robert
forgot the cls was on there, Robert. Processed with levels curves etc etc
Dew I reckon. The stars were nice and tight at the top, but very fuzzy at the bottom with haloes.
It'll be a good job when you have another go at it.
It was the dampest night I remember. Everything looked like it had water poured over it. I will have another go
far too obvious..... ;)
i did resist.
Me too.
The number of times I went back to this, and then thought better of it. :)

Fay, That's a lovely image, and a difficult to get one at that, I've tried and failed to get a good image of the flaming star a few times. May have to try to narrow band this one myself because it's just not happenning for me in colour!
Daniel
:O)
