Post by: Anonymous on Jan 27, 2004, 21:49:00
Hello all.
Can someone tell me why the term "Sol" is used for the Martian day ?.

       Have a nice Sol.

Because The Sun's real name is Sol.

So a Sol is one revolution of the sun due to the planet spinning on its axes.
