Who would like to go to Kelling Heath in September 2009? (see later)
Who would like to go in April 2010?
Who would like to go in September 2010?
14 - 25 Sept 2009
15 - 18 April 2010
Doug and Rose tell me that although September is fully booked, the organisers are trying to get an extra field. If I could get names NOW, we might stand a chance of getting in quick if another field is opened up. However according to the web-site there is still space on the BLUE Field which does not have a "no light" policy, but this might suit those who were put off by the regulations when we booked last time.
I actually postponed my booking to this September (rather than cancel and lose my money), but I don't really want to go on my own.
If you can let me know a.s.a.p. I am happy to do the booking again.
Carole
3 x yes but only if they don't clash with society events (which I don't think they do).
Having seen the Blue field, I think you have to find out what's available as some of the pitches have restricted sky views.

Good tip, thanks.
I have E mailed the organisers to see if I can find out what is happening.
I'll put you down on the lists Robert.
Carole
Carole,
I'm definitely interested for April 2010.
Mark
I've noted that down Mark.
C
Carole please add me and Roy to the April '10 list :D
OK every-one, I will be booking soon for April 2010 as it seems to get booked up quickly and also the good places seem to go quickly. So if you want to come can you let me know by the end of June, and preferably bring a cheque payable to Kelling Heath to the next meeting (May 28th or latest June 25th), otherwise you can send me a PM and I'll give you my address to post it to me. Jim is going to announce it at the next meeting.
So far I have:
Robert
Carole
Mark S
Delphine
Sue and Roy
C
Carole.
Put Rose and I down for 2010
When we see you, we`ll pay you then.
Stupid rhyme!! THAT was a Dugbot!!!
I should have said APRIL 2010. Sorry.
Doug.................. and Rose.
Carole,
I've been in contact with someone who goes regulary. What he does is to book September when he gets to the Spring Camp and book Spring early in the new year. It seems the Spring event doesn't seem to experience the mad rush that the Autumn event does. As long as it's booked before the September event we should be ok - plenty of time. Now we know the pitch layout we can be a bit picky about where we are.
Robert
Ok. Well it looks like we can delay a bit longer for the Spring camp and I'll book the September camp in the new year as Robert suggests.
I'll wait until after the July meeting then for April 2010.
However I would appreciate it if you could start giving me your (undated) cheques as soon as possible what with people being away over the summer I don't want to be having to chase you up so if you know you are going, please let me have a cheque a.s.a.p. and I'll date it when I make the booking.
Doug and Rose I'll add you to the list
Carole
Can I remind those who want to go to KH in the Spring to bring undated cheques to the meeting. The reason I want to get this booked so early is because I want to change my September booking to the Spring if they will let me, so in order for us all to be together I have to do it all at the same time.
(My September booking was what I was given when I cancelled April because of my broken shoulder. It was either move to September or lose my money). However since no-one else is going to the camp itself in September and I'm not sure whether I will be recovered sufficiently - still not allowed to lift anything except small items, and will have difficulty putting things on the roof rack. Also not happy with the pitch they gave me as Robert says it is near the trees and has no hook up.
I can't leave cancelling the September 09 booking for too long. I am not sure whether they will even let me move it for a second time, but I prefer not to throw £30 down the drain without a try.
I have the following:
Robert
Mark
Delphine - Paid
Sue and Roy
Doug and Rose
Thanks
Carole
Carole, can you put me down please.

I am going to ring next week to make the booking (hopefully they will let me change my September 2009 booking at the same time), so any-one who hasn't yet paid me £30, I am happy to temporarily pay on your behalf, can you please confirm you are happy for me to do so and will refund the money.
Also any-one else toying with going, can you please confirm.
Thanks
Carole
Yes coming, Carole. Send me your address & I will send a cheque, if that is ok

Tony G
Sorry Mac, yes I read the quote as you wanting to go too.
Duh!!!
Carole
PS,
QuoteWill give you the dosh as the next meeing if that's ok
Yes that will be fine Robert.
OK I have made the booking today for Kelling Heath in April.
I booked from Friday 16th April - Monday 19th April 2010 (i.e. 3 nights) £30 each pitch.
I'll let the individuals know their own pitch numbers which I have been assured are in the middle, away from the trees and with hook up.
I'm also pleased that they allowed me to transfer my booking from September 09 to April 2010 rather than lose my money (this was the booking I had originally made for April 2009 when I had to postpone).
We have had to split into two rows as many of the adjacent pitches had been taken, but the two rows are backing onto each other, so hopefully this will still be nice and sociable (we'll have to pitch our tents back to front!!! There is still an adjacent pitch on the end of each row if any-one else wants to book (let me know and I'll give you our pitch numbers).
Those going are:
Carole
Fay
Mark
Robert
Sue and Roy
Doug and Rose
Delphine and Ian
C
Carole, please can you tell me the pitch numbers as Julian has rung me & would like to book up & wants to ask Kelling for somewhere around us, if there are any spaces left.
Thanks
I called Kelling earlier this week and there were some spaces available. I was checking what date the Autumn event was on but it clashes with the France trip. They also told me that the Autumn event was nearly fully booked so if we go next year then we ought to book WELL in advance of even Christmas.
Robert
You are right, Robert
394, 395, 396, 397
387, 386, 385
You are 396 sandwiched between Mark and Robert.
Carole
Every-one should have their own receipt with their pitch number on it, I have just looked upthe receipts which were E mailed to me, and there is a T in front of the number.
I gave these receipts out a while back, but if any-one can't find theirs, let me know and I'll E mail it to you.
Carole
Carole, I don't remember getting a receipt. Also have we got hookups?
Fay,
I've E Mailed you another copy of the receipt. I definitely gave every-one a copy, maybe it was an electronic one. If any-one else has mislayed theirs I kept copies of all of them.
I think all the pitches have hook up.
Carole
Would you send me a copy of mine also - I think I've mislaid it
Mark
Done
Julian said there is a spare tent space next to them at Kelling
Well Fay you are next to Mark, and only a few tents away from every-one else. Julian might be a long way away. If you could get his pitch number it might be helpful.
I'll ring Kelling Heath and see what the situation is, but we don't want to be near the trees.
Carole
Julian said plot 426 was spare
Hi Fay,
I can't see how this is going to help. 426 is close to Robert (next row diagonally opposite 3 pitches away from Sue and Roy See diagram below, hope this makes sense.), but if you move to that pitch, that will leave Mark on his own. If it had been two pitches then both of you could have moved.
pitch 426 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------Mark, Fay
------------------------------------------Sue/Roy, Dephine, carole---------------
----------------Robert, Doug/Rose--------
Carole
Looks like you are all only a short walk away from each other. No different from a standard DSC really. Is there anything stopping you setting your equipment up on another persons plot?
Don't know, maybe some-one would agree to swap with us when we get there.
I agree we're not too far from each other.
Carole
No, I am ok Carole, it was if someone else wanted to go, there was a spare plot!
Ah, now I understand, yes of course if some-one else wanted to go there could be a spare pitch, but they will have to do their own booking at this late stage.
Carole
To clarify. Julian has paid £20 for this pitch, for Friday & Saturday, so if anyone wanted to go they just pay him, not Kelling as he has paid for it already.
We can of course always share pitches if someone else wanted to come...
If you want to move, no need to worry about me - I'm not scared of being alone! We're not that far away in any case ...
I don't want to move, I am happy with you Mark ;)
Mark,
Fay feels safe with you about, as there is no chance of a wet tent going up in flames. ;)
