This looks pretty good for those that do remote imaging & need an alarm or to close something... John

Does it pack your equipment away if you are indoors & it starts raining!!
Bear in mind that it's detecting rain which in turn means your kit is in the process of getting wet !
That is what I thought, Robert. Sort of shutting the stable door when the horse has alreasdy bolted
Yes but I'd rather have a few drops of rain on the lenses than have a bucket load thrown over it.... Fay think of the situation the other night that you told me about - you said you were so concentrating on focussing etc. & had you hat up & it started raining.... imagine you were in doors having a cup of tea when that had happened & it was 10mins or so before you popped your head out to check... You could have a simple alarm connected to the rain detector - doesn't need to be down by your kit just outdoors somewhere...
Anyway - I think it's quite a neat simple device for the price...
Surely the trick is to detect clouds so you know to pack up BEFORE it starts to rain ;)
talking of which, is your cloud sensor still off-line?
Now Mike you wouldn't be trying to sell a new system you have developed there would you... :-) John

Yes it is. I tried to get it up and running the other day but I spotted a bug. I am going to work on it tonight so i'll let you know when it's fixed.
OK it's been debugged and is up and running again. :)
