Mike and other EQ6 and HEQ5 users, theres a new mod to completely bypass the hand controller on these mount to allo direct connection of planetarium software to the mount stepper motors to the observatory software, when umplemented it looks like its going to give all the features of any ASCOM compliant software to the mount and also allow for advances PEC and modelling and sync functions from a laptop.

Hi Fay,
This is a piece of kit you need to buy, or hack your hand controller around a bit, I would not recomment doing this, join the yahoo group and see what the people there are doing before hacking around with the controller.
