Title: Test from SC1 guiding a EQ6 and ED80
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Apr 04, 2006, 09:09:14
Hi,

Just to let you know I tested the SC1 web can with K3CCD on the EQ6 mount, K2CCD was reporting a 1.5 arc second tracking error with guiding on at 1 second frames guiding on a Mag 5.8 star, at 2 second I could guide down to mag 6.8 with an error of 2.2 arc seconds.

I did take a couple of pictures, but I forgot to take flats, but I'll post them when I get home tonight.

For the images I could easily image M51 at 10 minutes+ with no visible error using the HX916 at 1x1.

Chris

Well hang on, final images not that good, big dust problems, I spat in my filters last night and rubbed them off with a dirty tea towel to see if next time the images are any better.

I might give it a go tonight, but I will post up a couple of the Subs so you can have a look see.

Or I might image the moon for an hour or three with me 4x Televue Barlow :-)
