Title: Barnard 213, 216, LDN1495 in Taurus - LRGB
Post by: Roberto on Dec 06, 2024, 15:34:18
Hello All

I was hoping to post a couple of targets that I have been working on whenever we get some clear skies over here (none in the last few days/weeks) but have only managed to acquire sufficient exposures to somewhat finish the below, so here it goes:

Barnard 213, 216, LDN1495 in Taurus - LRGB

Details here:  https://www.astrobin.com/88tnaw/D/ (https://www.astrobin.com/88tnaw/D/)

Skies were not very transparent and only managed to keep 44 Luminance frames so plenty of noise removal in this version.

Dates: 12 Nov 2024, 25 - 28 Nov 2024
Frames: OSC - 104×300″(8h 40′)
Luminance - IDAS LPS-P2 50 mm: 44×600″(7h 20′)
Integration: 16h

Well done Roberto, I recall including this one as part of the Taurus molecular field, it's strange looking thing, reminds me of a hairy caterpillar.

You got a good result, especially from Petts Wood.

Very nice Roberto.

(Am I the only one who sees a pair of eyes looking over the nebula?)   :alien:

Roberto

That is a great image- especially captured from Petts Wood

Definitely a pair of space monster eyes peering over the Nebula
