A couple of objects completed last week during the cold (clear) snap.
Candidate Planetary Nebula FR2-23 in Perseus

Astrodon H-alpha 5nm 50x50 mm: 26×1200″(8h 40′)
Astrodon OIII 3nm 50x50 mm: 35×1200″(11h 40′)
Integration: 33h 35′
This large but very faint, possible planetary nebula was first identified by Dr. David J. Frew and has recently been added to the Hong Kong AAO Strasbourg Hα planetary nebula database (HASH).

LDN988 and black river in Cygnus - LRGB

A beautiful region in Cygnus, close to Deneb with a river of dark Lynds objects. There are three reflection nebulae around the area of LDN988 (centre), a couple of Sharpless objects, the small compact open cluster NGC7031 and a nice, tiny planetary nebula PK091+01.1.
Acquired in October and November under moonlit skies from suburban London with the usual tandem refractor setup.

I'm really impressed Roberto. I would never have thought that chasing faint prospective planetaries was remotely feasible from Petts Wood! I've got no excuse to complain about light polution when imaging regular nebulae now!!

Yes, I don;t know how he does it from Petts Wood, I am in Bromley, which is even worse and gave up doing anything LRGB donkeys years ago. Even using the Hutech Idas filter that Roberto recommended still didn't work for me.
Thank you both! I started imaging FR2-23 again in August/September when it was only rising after midnight. I've found that the morning hours are best to capture high quality data, or at least as much that can be possible from my garden.
