Title: vdB 133, LBN218 and 42 Cyg* from Petts Wood
Post by: Roberto on Jul 16, 2024, 18:28:26
Nice extended van den Bergh object in Cygnus around 44 Cyg.  There's another bluer - reflection nebula? - around 42 Cyg but I couldn't find it identified by querying objects around the star in Simbad.   Sh2-106 towards the top right is very bright and has some structure.
For a beautiful picture of this field see Thomas Davis' (https://www.astrobin.com/353065/B/ (https://www.astrobin.com/353065/B/)) and for an incredibly detailed picture of Sh2-106 see here from Hubble: https://esahubble.org/images/heic1118a/ (https://esahubble.org/images/heic1118a/)
