Title: Cave Nebula (re-work)
Post by: Carole on Jun 23, 2024, 13:35:02
This is not a reprocess, as I didn't take it back to the beginning  But I was never happy with the reults as I felt there were far too many stars overwhelming the image.

I finally got StarExterminator recently and whilst i don't agree with the (imo) overuse of star reduction, insomuch as the stars almost are non existent in the images some people are posting up. I managed quite a considerable reduction.

This was my original process back in 2017:

then I re-worked it again in 2021 i felt this was better but still not entirely happy with it.

So I have re-worked it again, using starExterminator but I thought that was too far the other way, and so I have settled for something in the middle which I feel happier with.

Hopefully final version.
