Title: More light than dark from Petts Wood
Post by: Roberto on May 20, 2024, 17:54:32
Another potpourri of what the weather allows:

LBN 406, 413, 415 - Faint nebulosity in Draco

This is very faint.  Not even after close to 11hrs of L did it show much. A couple of clear nights were "ruined" by the glow of the aurora throwing the OSC frames completely off and reducing the contrast in the L.  In any case, details here:  https://www.astrobin.com/8xwd5i/C/ (https://www.astrobin.com/8xwd5i/C/)

Dates:  7 - 9 May 2024, 11 - 13 May 2024, 16 May 2024
Frames:  OSC - 129×300″(10h 45′)
L - IDAS LPS-P2 50 mm: 70×600″(11h 40′)
Integration: 22h 25′

And from this weekend:

Same morning:

Sun Ha - 19 May 2024 - 9:17UT - plus Prominence Animation

Taken with the 94mm f/7 refractor using a (double-stacked) front mounted Ha etalon.  Details here:  https://www.astrobin.com/rarpat/?nc=user (https://www.astrobin.com/rarpat/?nc=user)

A nice selection Roberto.  amazing you can get that faint nebulosity from Petts Wood.

Any chance of letting me have the file of the prominence animation, so I can send it to Raf so it will play on Members Images.

Carole

Thank you.  You can download the .gif file from here or Astrobin. Do you still need it as a file?
