Title: The Sun.
Post by: The Thing on Aug 16, 2023, 11:34:07

3.24GB AVI captured in QHYEZCAP full frame at 17fps. No idea how many frames.
stacked in ASIVideoStack using these settings - Planet, 30% of frames, Sharpening at 33 (not much), and
B1.0_C1.0_S1_N0 whatever that means! It's a very straightforward program with no complex settings and it produces excellent results.

Another Sun, one day later. So I've not done a new thread.

Much faster exposure, 0.15ms, 45fps, I got Firecapture to work with the QHY294PROC by setting a Region Of Interest and changing the gain, odd but there you go.

Image date, time and location: 2023-08-17-1030_2, Manche, France
Telescope aperture and focal ratio:TS1506UNC f4
Camera and filters used: QHY294PROC OSC, Optolong UVIR, Thousand Oaks solar film.
Processing applied: Firecapture, ASIVideoStack.
