Title: M101 and supernova SN2023ixf
Post by: The Thing on Jun 03, 2023, 16:20:17
Mark has already put up a description of this supernova event This is the Wikipedia entry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SN_2023ixf). Totally different image scale. I'm liking all the galaxies around abouts.

Duncan

Great image of M101 and the supernova, the scale really does show so many galaxies

Do you still have very dark skies where you are in France- are they still turning lights off in the evening ?  I wish the UK would do something similar- the light pollution is just crazy here  :!

Thanks Carole and everyone.

Yes, the lights go off at 21:30 though I'm not sure they are even going on at this time of year. They nominally light up at 6am. So it's dark  8) .
