Title: Fossil Footprint Nebula NGC1491
Post by: Carole on Feb 15, 2023, 15:05:36
Practically run out of targets I can do from SE London, so tackling some less common targets.  Hadn't realised how faint this was, even after 12 1/2 hours it could do with more data, but not sure I want to spend any more time on it.

I have cropped the FOV as those faint outer areas don't really add much to the image.

Atik460EX & ED80 + Atik460EX and ED72 (dual rig)

Ha 51 x 600 (8 1/2 hours)
Oiii 24 x 300 binned (2 hours)
Sii 24 x 300 binned (2 hours)

Total imaging time 12 1/2 hours (and still noisy)

Wasn't that happy with original so tried a different palette.

Well I like both colours schemes Carole. I've never heard of it. Interesting part of the sky, I'll have to have a nose round.

That's a very nice rendition Carole. I don't think I've done this one...in my list now!

Thanks Roberto, still not happy with it, as too noisy, but not sure getting any more data is going to help much from Bromley.
