Post by: Rick on Dec 08, 2022, 15:05:32
25 meteors were captured by my Global Meteor Network camera during the night between 22:36 on 6th and 06:32 on 7th December 2022. The brightest one was captured by at least twenty GMN cameras, and after some data reduction by UKMon (https://archive.ukmeteors.co.uk/reports/2022/orbits/202212/20221207/20221207_045846.616_UK/index.html) was found to be a December rho Virginid with a maximum absolute magnitude of -5.8 and a lowest visible altitude of about 80kms, at which point it was over Leyburn in the Dales.

Other meteors in this image include 4 November Orionids, 4 Sigma Hydrids, 3 Geminids and 3 psi Ursae Majorids.
