Title: Sh2-112 (new version 5th post)
Post by: Carole on Aug 29, 2022, 16:50:50
I was inspired by Duncan's recent version of this to do it with my larger ED120 scope as I have only imaged it previously with the wide Samyang Lens as part of a bigger area.

Yet another gem from Cygnus.

Taken from Bromley over 3 nights, it could do with more data to be honest, but 3 nights on the trot staying up until 3.30am did me in.

Atik460EX and FR x 0.8
Skywatcher ED120 and HEQ5
Ha 27 x 600 (4.5 hours)
Oiii 12 x 300 binned (1 hour)
Sii  12 x 300 binned (1 hour)

Total imaging time 6 1/2 hours

I went back and took another look at this as I wasn't happy with the background nebulosity, and gave the Ha a further stretch using the equalise function, and then added it to the red channel, and got this.  Might be a bit bright for some people, but I am certainly happier with it.
