Title: A chain of Sharpless objects - CTB109 in Cassiopeia
Post by: Roberto on Sep 17, 2020, 13:53:09
Another one finished over the weekend, early this week.
A beautiful and colourful region straddling Cepheus and Cassiopeia. Includes a number of Sharpless nebulae and a section of SNR109. Also shown is open cluster King 10 (check the annotated image at the link below). Clear skies and less moonlight meant a much better outcome than my previous image just a week ago. Taken using the tandem refractor setup.

That's a great result by any standards and especially impressive for the suburbs.

Plenty of clear nights at the moment but I'm out of action because of the surgery on my right hand.

Mark - thank you.  Sorry to hear about your hand, at least after this one you are done!
