Title: Help, cant balance my scope!!
Post by: JonC on Jun 13, 2015, 07:40:26
I am using a Vixen Sphinx mount with a rather lightweight SW 130pds, the supplied counterweight is way too much, does anybody have a 2Kg ish counterweight I can try? The CW shaft is 20mm, and I believe the current weight is 5Kg. If anybody wanted to do a straight swap that would be even better, or one they want to sell.

Cheers

Jon

Have you tried sliding the weight further up the shaft?

Yep tried that. Looked at prices for proper weight and its around £40, 4 x 0.5kg dumbbells are £4 and a bit of fiddling to reduce the collar and add a locking screw.
