Title: Moon before the storm
Post by: Roberto on May 21, 2021, 10:47:07
Taken on Wednesday evening just before the storm kicked off.  Seeing was really bad already so used the smaller refractor (94mm f/7) instead of the larger Maksutov.

Hi Roberto,

Nice image but it's making my head hurt - when I zoom in I see some very strange ripple type artifacts especially near the bottom.  Could be my eyes though... am three years overdue for an eye test !

Thank you Robert!  The resolution and processing may have combined to cause to artifacts.  Seeing wasn't great that night but the Moon was beautiful.
