Did Chrome give anything more useful than "could not connect"?

I've been monitoring site response times, and the server seems to have gone from nicely balanced to overloaded on 29th or 30th March, with the database being the probable cause. I've drawn this to the hosting provider's attention.

Around 2pm I got a message from EZPZ saying they'd "corrected the issue on that server"...

I can now access it but it is extremely slow.

Just like to add that I have been having persistent problems since I started using the site last week. Pages are frequently slow to load, if they load at all. I have not had a single OAS browsing session where there has not been a problem.

I had the same but i then changed to Internet explorer, Exactly the same,
just timed out with no error messages.

However i did have part of the site up, just the framework, no graphics

Just received the following from the hosting company...

Over the last few days we have been experiencing performance and uptime issues affecting Chronos, the server you are hosted on.

To resolve these issues the server will be taken down for maintenance at 1am on Saturday 3rd May for around 1 hour. This will involve:

Right now and for the last hours the website and forum have been as good as useless. 5-10 minute periods when the website is down completely and then when it's back up 10-20 seconds for links to work and things to download.

Seriously, why are we putting up with this? Considering moving to another hosting company would cost us less than £50 and about 30 mins work to set it up again why do we keep tolerating this shoddy service from the current provider?

I've not been on much the last few days, but I've not had any trouble the tomes I have been on. I'll check my routine monitoring when I'm back at base.
